If you’re looking to create a new space to enjoy in your garden, timber decking could be the perfect option for you. As well as looking great, it is also low maintenance. It also can be a cheaper alternative to a concrete patio and there is a little less labour involved in installing it.
Here at Engarde we can create your perfect spot to relax in your garden. If you think it’s something you might like we can come to give you a free quotation. Whether it’s just a small area or a large split level deck you are after we can accommodate you.
We use high quality materials for all our decking and have excellent attention to detail meaning our customers get the highest standard of installation.
Below are the types of timber fencing we usually provide. If you have a special requirement, just drop us a line to see if we can help.
Close-board is the one of the most popular and robust timber fences available.
This fencing is assembled completely on site so all changes in level can be accommodated without the need for stepping the fence.
The fence is made from Timber posts with horizontal rails, then clad with feather-edged boards which sit upon a timber
gravel board at the base of the fence. Engarde can also supply close-board fencing with concrete posts or with
both concrete posts and gravel boards. If required, we are able to incorporate trellis into the fence to suit your needs.
Close-board fencing in panel form which is assembled off site so level changes need to be stepped.
These panels are more robust and durable than the overlap version and can be supplied on timber or concrete posts.
If required, we are able to incorporate trellis into the fence to suit your needs. This type of fence is also known as:
feather edge panel fencing.
Lap Panels are the most commonly used type of domestic fencing in the UK. They are more suited to internal divisional
fences rather than external boundaries. We can supply Lap Panels on both timber and concrete posts, and if required, we are able to incorporate trellis into the fence to suit your needs.
This type of fence is also known as: Larch lap, Tylap, Waney Edge Panel
Timber Palisade Fencing can be supplied on Timber or Concrete posts and is generally used as a demarcation fence to the front
of a property where a pleasing appearance is required. It is also used to separate areas within a garden and sometimes used to
separate play areas in schools. It can also be supplied with a planed finish and white painted for a traditional look. This
type fence is also sometimes referred to as: Picket Fencing, Timber Palisade Fencing, Hit and Miss Fencing.
Trellis fencing for situations where the other side of the fence needs to be visible but the appearance still needs to be in
keeping with its surroundings. Trellis Fencing is ideal if you are subdividing a garden or plot of land into different areas.
Trellis fencing is ideal where plants are required to grow up the fence. ABC offer trellis fencing in square trellis as shown
in the photo above and also in a diamond pattern as well. Trellis fencing can be erected on timber or concrete posts. All
timber is pressure treated before delivery to site.
